Abstract
Journals require that you share your code and data in a replication package upon acceptance. However, efficient reproducibility starts at the beginning of the research project. Following some best practices from day 1 can not only help you prepare a replication package later, but also make you a more productive researcher. In this (HANDS-ON) workshop, we discuss how to adopt reproducible practices and habits, using a “research idea” seed as a trigger, ending with a mini-project ready for submission to a journal. We also discuss techniques on how to self-verify reproducibility at any point of the research lifecycle, how to set up a tight provenance chain from data collection all the way to publication, and other topics as brought up by participants.
- Session 1: [080] PART 1: BUILDING and DOCUMENTING A REPLICATION PACKAGE, INCLUDING WHEN DATA ARE CONFIDENTIAL (4:30 PM Mountain Time)
- Session 2: [096] PART 2: ADVANCED TOPICS: STRONG REPRODUCIBILITY AND EARLY DATA PRESERVATION FOR TRANSPARENT REPLICATION PACKAGES (8:15 AM Mountain Time)
