08_count_lines.sh - Count lines of code

Description¶

Runs cloc over the deposit to count lines of code and comments per language. In 1-populate-from-icpsr it runs in the aldanial/cloc image; w-big-populate-from-icpsr installs cloc first. When cloc is missing, the script exits with an error.

Usage¶

./automations/08_count_lines.sh <directory> [tag]

• directory - Deposit directory. When it does not exist but cache/$projectID.zip does, cloc reads the ZIP instead (projectID from the environment).

• tag - Optional suffix for the output names.

Outputs¶

• generated/linecount[.tag].txt, generated/linecount[.tag].md, generated/linecount[.tag].csv
