04_list_program_files.sh - List the program files

Description¶

Lists the program files in a directory, identified by extension (do, ado, r, rmd, py, ipynb, m, jl, sas, sh, and others; see the extensions variable in the script) plus files named makefile. When generated/manifest[.tag].txt exists, it filters it instead of walking the file tree again.

Usage¶

./automations/04_list_program_files.sh <directory> [tag] [zipfile]

• directory - Deposit directory, or another directory such as restricted.

• tag - Optional suffix for the input and output names.

• zipfile - Accepted for consistency; not used.

Outputs¶

• generated/programs-list[.tag].txt - Program files

• generated/programs-summary[.tag].txt - One sentence with the count per extension, for the report

• generated/programs-metadata[.tag].csv - filename,lines; 26_update_jira_software.sh reads it to detect the software used
