02_create_manifest.sh - Create the file manifest with checksums

Description¶

Lists every file in a directory, with its SHA-256 checksum and size. Files under __MACOSX/ are skipped. The outputs are the basis for the data and program lists, the duplicate check and the manifest comparison.

Usage¶

./automations/02_create_manifest.sh <directory> [tag] [zipfile]

• directory - Deposit directory, or another directory such as restricted.

• tag - Optional suffix for the output names (for example restricted).

• zipfile - Accepted for consistency with the listing scripts; not used.

Outputs¶

• generated/manifest[.tag].txt - Sorted list of files

• generated/manifest[.tag].YYYY-MM-DD.sha256 - Checksums

• generated/metadata[.tag].txt - filename,bytes
